In work called „ I don’t want you to see how it looks, I only want you to know I have it” I am dealing with censorship as such. I am analyzing, what actually censorship is, why we are using it and how we are using it in analogue and digital world. I found out, that censorship is not here necessarily because of hiding something, lacking of something or nudity. But over the time it has become sign of prestige – I have something to hide.
From my point of view, this situation is absurd, from building a walls in front of the windows of houses, by pixelating brands in tv shows, which are built on brands, up to censorship of children on Instagram. It’s not cool anymore to show everything to the world around us, we only want them to know, that we have something to hide.
