The topic of a work is human basis and its boundaries between the inner and outer world. I try to bring back an elementary idea such as the fact that we live. Using a sensor, I measure the human heartbeat and transcribe the acquired data values into a rhythmic curve. This curve modulates the sound – it changes its speed. The visual is complemented by words – symbols that are projected and change in the same rhythm as the music. The organic component (heart rate) affects the digital component (sound) and sets its new context. The purpose of the installation is to define the individual within the external enviroment and to create a meditative space for the conscious perception of this experience. Man enters (and exists) space himself – it is a metaphor for the morning and evening, which are moments of slowdown.
